As a freelance artist educator, I’m passionate about inspiring children, young people and adults to be creative.
See What You Miss-An exhibition in 2013 which showcased artworks from Southampton City Art Gallery’s permanent collection, chosen and interpreted by visually impaired participants from the Touch Tours, that I organise every two months.Residents from a local mental health community care home, where I run weekly art workshops, engaged with a year long project creating a yarn installation for the staircase of Southampton City Art Gallery in 2018, to welcome families to The Please Do Touch Trail.For the Make Your Mark exhibition in 2019 at Solent Showcase Gallery, Southampton, I created a tactile map of Old Southampton Cemetery.In 2019, I provided Masterpieces In Schools events with two Hampshire secondary schools in partnership with The National Sculpture Project organized by Art UK. Sculptures loaned from Southampton City Art Gallery were taken into the schools to inspire workshops with the students.Art UK Masterpieces in Schools National Sculpture Project, 2019.
